Jeff I want to first say I am so glad you blog and to let you know how much I enjoy your writing and photography. Now it is not fair to make me pick just one photo...really it's not...but I do want to enter your wonderful giveaway so.... the post on April 21, 2010 you had some gorgeous flower photos and one of my favorites is the 5th photo, it is of a dandelion. There I picked!
ReplyDeleteAgain not easy to pick my favorite post. I have two that stand out the recent 'Elizabeth' and the one I will choose as my favorite from April 6th "L is for the way you Look at me" This post is so you and shares so much of yourself. Plus you caught up on the Alphabe posts on the letters A-F and so there were so many photos to enjoy. The photos of Ruben are my fav in there and then any man who says his wife is his best friend, well that's a good man! Thanks Jeff!
ReplyDeleteOh no. Picking favorites? Isn't this kinda/sorta like Tom's chopping babies?
ReplyDeleteBefore I even do this I need to know if you will let the un-picked photos know they were not selected? It would be terribly cruel since all your work is amazing.
And, there will be no haikus. I am allergic to xanex.
And I don't even know how to spell xanax. xaanax? OK. I am allergic to anxiety meds. And haikus make me hyperventilate AND break out in hives. So there.
ReplyDeleteThere once a blogger named Jeff,
ReplyDeleteWho did everything well, I confess.
He wow'ed us, he woo'ed us,
He skinnamarinkydinky-doo'd us.
Because in so many things he was best.
Oh for heavens sakes.
Who wrote that drivel?
My favorite post of yours, hands down, is your Gables post! Because that's how I met you. And knowing you has been such a cool thing that I have to pick that one above all the rest.
ReplyDeleteIf you promise not to tell it is the Memorial Day black and white photo. That one really touched my heart. But don't tell the others. I like so many others as well.
ReplyDeleteoh geez, you wont be getting any haikus from me ...mine sound like bad sneezes ... My very fave post is your W post on women ... so well done Jeff.
ReplyDeletefave photo ... are you kidding??? your photos are amazing ... did ya hear that ... AMAZING!!! but i am rather partial to the second photo on your trees post ... the one of the beautifully coloured leaves against that blue sky ... the light is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteOOoohh, prizes! My favorite post is the one where you did all the catching up from the letters you missed. And my favorite picture is the blue flower with the little insect on it from today's pictures. I've seen a lot of your gorgeous photography, but the color in that one is just amazing, and the detail spectacular. Happy Blogiversary!
ReplyDeleteNice collection...the pic caught my eye and I wanted to say Happy Anniversary and congrats!
ReplyDeleteSince I am new to your blog, I would have to say that the post, "Elizabeth" was particularly moving for me. That is my vote.
ReplyDeleteI think I already voted for my favorite photo, the butterfly on the thistle, didn't I?
Ok I can't believe I'm putting this on here for everyone to read but here goes my Haiku (and if it's not right please be gentle )
ReplyDeleteStalks of Lavender
Lazy bees sucking nectar
Swaying in the breeze
Whew....I am not a poet but his was kinda, sorta fun? Scary really but for you Jeff I did it!!
My favorite post is the June 9th entry where you shared your wonderful poem about trees, The Gift.
ReplyDelete... choosing a favorite photo is going to be much more difficult ... and Haiku writing ... not sure I'm up for that one today!
Blessings and Bliss,
Catherine :)
OK ... my favorite photos are both on the June 21st entry (I think that's the right date), the dandelion and the hole in the tree (I just know there are some fairies living inside that tree). I narrowed it down to 2, that's pretty good for me ;) !
ReplyDeleteAs for the Haiku ... I'll have to get back to you on that one. But Linda did a great job, I love hers. :)
Blessings and Bliss,
Catherine
Okay, I was browsing back through your blogs to look for a photo and stopped dead in my tracks when I reached Thoughts On Memorial Day 2010. My favorite picture of all.
ReplyDeleteI'm not cheating here, it's just that this post Thoughts On Memorial Day 2010 not only struck a chord because of the photo, but the way your words danced on the page brought tears to my eyes.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations
ReplyDeleteTennessee Mudbug! One year
of words and photos.
You never said it had to be GOOD haiku! Silly man.
Here's my poem:
ReplyDeleteThe glow of the mountain
protects us.
The valley is my refuge.
