Taken at the Hunter Museum of Art, Bluff View District, Chattanooga, TN. The polished stone is an interior wall in the cafe area of the museum. There is a double reflection from off both the interior wall and exterior glass, reflecting the warm glow of the setting sun behind Lookout Mtn., the Walnut St. Bridge and Tennessee River.

Very nice reflections!
ReplyDeleteJeff you have such a wonderful eye! Enjoyed this photo. I like that I'm somewhat familiar with some to the places you photograph.
ReplyDeleteThis makes a lovely soft abstract.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting reflection! Almost like a string of sparkles strung through the mist.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection shot.
ReplyDeleteCool reflection - your title had be fooled for a section until I realised it was polished stone.

Such a lovely reflection and wonderful to see your part of the world!
ReplyDeleteVery subtle but definitely there!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very interesting reflection. Cool colors.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted, Jeff. And I gather they are street lights just coming on. Isn't it wonderful how many and varied are the reflections that we see now that we particpate in this meme.
ReplyDeleteThanks to each of you for your gracious comments. This photo has so many intriguing things going on for me...the reflection of the mountain on which I live...the pedestrian bridge that I love...the slight, barely noticeable double reflection...the way that the striations of the stone 'play' against the mountain slope...the bridge lights...the lines in the stone panels...the soft colors...it is an atypical reflection picture for me, yet it completely suits a growing tendency I have for the subtle, almost grainy...Peace and blessings to each of you...
ReplyDeleteNicely polished stone! The lights look like little eyes looking at me.
ReplyDeleteYou're right - so many intriguing things - well captured!
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for your visit. :)
I love this. What a great capture. As my DH would say, it is definitely "frame worthy". And since he is both a photographer and a picture framer, that is his highest accolade :)
ReplyDeleteThat's quite an interesting effect.
