Reflections In Stone

Taken at the Hunter Museum of Art, Bluff View District, Chattanooga, TN. The polished stone is an interior wall in the cafe area of the museum. There is a double reflection from off both the interior wall and exterior glass, reflecting the warm glow of the setting sun behind Lookout Mtn., the Walnut St. Bridge and Tennessee River.

Peace and blessings

  9. Well spotted, Jeff. And I gather they are street lights just coming on. Isn't it wonderful how many and varied are the reflections that we see now that we particpate in this meme.

  10. Thanks to each of you for your gracious comments. This photo has so many intriguing things going on for me...the reflection of the mountain on which I live...the pedestrian bridge that I love...the slight, barely noticeable double reflection...the way that the striations of the stone 'play' against the mountain slope...the bridge lights...the lines in the stone panels...the soft colors...it is an atypical reflection picture for me, yet it completely suits a growing tendency I have for the subtle, almost grainy...Peace and blessings to each of you...

  12. I love this. What a great capture. As my DH would say, it is definitely "frame worthy". And since he is both a photographer and a picture framer, that is his highest accolade :)
